A pop-up Thanksgiving Farmers’ Market is happening in Midcoast Maine on Sunday, November 19, 11 am to 3 pm rain or shine. Area market vendors and food producers are coming together on the grounds of Appleton Creamery, 780 Gurney Town Road in Appleton to offer a menu of local goods to provision Thanksgiving dinner. In addition to a full line of cheeses from Appleton Creamery, the market will include Brazen Baking with crackers and pies, Fine Line Farm with vegetables, Turtle Rock Farm with condiments, Copper Tail Farm with cajeta and caramel, Ravenswood Flower Farm with table arrangements, and a few more producers.
This family and kid-friendly event is a great opportunity to meet the farmers and cheesemaker, the goats, puppies, peacocks, chickens and Guinea fowl, right at the farm. Open Creamery Day • Maine Cheese Festival
Appleton Creamery will be pairing its cheeses with wines at Savage Oakes Vineyard and Winery as part of the Maine Open Winery Day on September 16th, from 11 am to 4 pm in Union, Maine. Appleton Creamery cheeses will be for sale. Savage Oakes has a full day of tasting and vineyard touring activities planned, along with a gourmet burger lunch. Sunday April 23, 2017 11am to 4pm Here’s a wonderful opportunity to get out to the farms and have some fun with the family, and buy some delicious Maine cheese right from the farm/creamery. Three goat dairies on the Midcoast Cheese Trail are teaming up to hold a spring Kid Hugging Day on April 23. Stop by one of our farms, hug some kids, sample some cheese, and welcome the beginning of our cheese making season. Make a day of it.
